Access matters.

About this Event

Social media is a key part of life bringing people together in culture, life events, and information sharing. We can take small steps to ensure everyone can access postings in both our personal and professional worlds.

This session will give you hands on experience in creating accessible posts across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We will cover alternative text, camel case, simple language use, and perspectives from the vision loss community.

Participants will be asked to use their own social media and take photos at the Great Lakes Aquarium in order to practice the concepts discussed. Please be sure to bring your phone, computer or tablet in order to get the most out of this session.

We encourage you to join us after the training from 5-6 pm for a networking hour with coffee, tea, water, and light snacks.
