Discussed the ways in which organizations fund accessibility projects including grant opportunities tips from cultural administrators and grantmakers, and how to build accessibility into budgets.

 

Presenters who shared strategies and insights are:

*  Natalie Kennedy-Schuck, program officer & accessibility coordinator, Minnesota State Arts Board

*  Jon Skaalen, access & grants coordinator, VSA Minnesota

*  Melinda Hutchinson, grants specialist, MN Historical & Cultural Grants

*  Laura Kindseth, design reviewer, grants, MN Historical & Cultural Grants

*  Moderator: Hunter Gullickson, accessibility manager, Guthrie Theater

Audience: People in arts/cultural organizations who seek funding to make their programs and facilities more accessible to people with disabilities.

Parking ramp entrance is behind library, off Lagoon Ave., $3 for 3 hours.

Access: Open Captioning provided.

Beverages and snacks provided.

Funding and services provided by the Minnesota State Arts Board, the Minnesota Historical Society and the Guthrie Theater.
